A little about me

 

Nina Lytvyn (Mokriy) – Ukrainian artist

 

         Born November 30, 1972 in Mlyniv town Rivne region, Ukraine. Finished public high school and attended Mlyniv art school.

          Mlyniv is a beautiful picturesque village, which is located on the banks of the Ikva River and inspires creativity with its landscapes and sunsets. It was the nature of my motherland that influenced my work.

I’ve always loved bright colors, since kindergarten. I remember licking color pencils and pressing them hard on paper to make the colors even brighter and they crumbled. At art school we sharpened the pencils on our own and this was an important preparation before the easel. It is the teachers who instilled love for the sense of color, shape, and that little guy called the nuance. Discover beauty and art everywhere, it’s around and within us.

 

In 1997 I graduated from State Academy of Light Industry of Ukraine with a degree in clothing design. I was awarded diplomas in numerous international clothes designer competitions. 

 

In 2000 I studied History of Art at State Academy of Arts and Architecture.

 

Later I began to study interior design. Namely, how to use the form, materials, textures, quantitative and qualitative components to change the environment, how to model the space using color. I designed subject environment for various private housing facilities.

 

I work in modern art sphere, it’s painting. My works are post-impressionism and plot abstractionism style done in bright oil paints applied by wide brushstrokes and palette knives.

 

Every painting is inspired by a story and has a text prose addition. The idea of the paintings is nature and its glory, my travel destinations that inspire the urge to cherish nature and take care of the place where we live - our planet Earth, look after each other and people who surround us.


I invite everyone to attend the "Creating Beauty" exhibition 2021, I take part in and present the "The Universe" painting made in 2020 (canvas, oil, 100×100cm). It will take place in The House of the Artist, 3rd floor, hall #4 (round hall).
1-5 Sechevykh Streltsov St., Lvovskaya Sq. March 12-21, 2021. Admission is free.
 

The exhibition "Philosophy of Creativity" was held at the House of Artists on November 27 - December 6, 2020, Kiev

 

We continue prepations for the collective exhibition "Searching for Harmony" which will be held in Kiev on July 14, 2020. It is the opening of the exhibition of a group of artists where three of my paintings will be presented. The exhibition will be open till July 27 at the Museum of Kiev History!!!
